“Uhm, are we really sure this is a good idea, boss?” you ask worriedly, your inexperienced knees already trembling.
“This is going to go just perfectly! Now, make sure to keep your knees together, because your legs are a lot longer than mine.”
You and dAnkan are precariously sharing a pair of skis, holding onto your reindeer reins, as you are preparing for your Tag-Team Reindeer-Water-Skiing attempt.
“They are really cramming a lot of ideas into these final competitions, aren’t they?”
“Now now, focus on the task at hand. The competition-interfeering Norwegians have a clear advantage in numbers in this sport and managed to build a majestic, dual-rowed pyramid. We are mainly option-less, but luckily we don’t even want any options!” dAnkan looks up at you, their upside-down smile almost reassuring.
“*Reindeer noises*” complains the reindeer in front of you.
“Right on!” shouts dAnkan. “Let ‘er rip!”
The reindeer takes off like a jetski, skipping across the water by the power of Christmas magic. You and dAnkan do some sick flips, amazing acrobatics, and show off your general skills as you follow the streams of the Arctic Sea. During one moment, when you are upside down on your smaller hand-skis with dAnkan right way up (like a diamond shape), you look into the water to see a large aquatic animal biting down on a thick, undersea cable. After you right yourself, you find a post worker beside you.
“Hey Mrs. Filter! Round going well I suppose?” asks dAnkan politely.
“Oh just terrific, thank you. I have a bunch of packets and a safe for you. Please sign,” answers Mrs. Filter while she hands you an armful of stuff. After dAnkan has signed they say their goodbyes and Mrs. Filter whistles to her reindeer to steer away.
“*Reindeer noises*”, say the reindeer to each other as they part.
“I know this is terrible timing, but who knows who sent this stuff? It might be very important to learn the contents immediately.”
