The next morning you wake up in the garden, dewy from the morning sun, feeling a bit groggy, noggy even, from yesternights eggnog. Breathing in the daft air through your nose you are hit with an unfamiliar scent and as you sit up you notice that the before withered garden has transformed into an exuberant scenery with looming trees and brilliant flowers. You scan your surroundings in search of dAnkan which doesn’t take long since they’re sleeping by the eggnog barrel a few metres away. However, dAnkan is not what your gaze lands upon, instead you notice the entrance to what looks like a cellar, which is weird as it wasn’t there yesterday and, even though that’s the case for the flowers and trees, you are pretty sure cellars don’t grow from seeds.
Your confusion seems to have been that of a vocal kind as all of a sudden, dAnkan wakes up.
— “Quack, I don’t understand why they call it a nightcap because I’m not lying when I say I slept great” lifting his head from the eggnog barrel they’ve been using as a pillow.
— dAnkan turns around and looks at you, “Hey what are you looking at?” and then turns even more to also stare at the direction which you are already staring at.
— “Hmm, I can admit that I sometimes destroyed a cellar or two during my drunken escapades but never have I done the opposite” dAnkan says, standing up and starts walking towards it.
— “WAIT, don’t go too close, it can be a mimic for all we know.” you say with a sort of panicked tone.
— “If it’s a mimic this size then it will be an honour to be consumed by such a beast.” dAnkan says with a posh official tone.
— As you now feel obligated to do something you get on your feet as well and start striding in the direction of dAnkan and the cellar entrance.
— “This sure looks like a real cellar, no teeth at least even though I would stay away from those rusty spikes.” dAnkan says.
— dAnkan looks up and around the garden “Hey wait a minute, where’s that damn wizard, wasn’t he supposed to be back by now?”
— It’s quiet for a while and then dAnkans says “Do you think this cellar could be another test of his?
— “I guess that could be the case, especially after what happened yesterday” you respond.
— “Well then, I say we go down here and see what’s up!” exclaims dAnkan and, without hearing your opinions of waiting for the wizard, starts walking down the cellar.
After defeating all the vile creatures (and the goose) subsiding in the cellar, you and dAnkan emerge up in the garden victorious. Just as you step outside, you hear the peculiar sound of something ripping through space and time as a portal appears, with Linus stepping out from it.
— “Good morning my friends. Sorry about the wait, these new configs can sometimes be a bit tricky but here I am! Well then, are you heroes ready for your spell?” Linus says looking excited at you.
— “Wait, hold on, I think you’re bleeding.” Linus says and points at your leg, “Did you cut yourself on something?” he asks.
— “Cut themselves? What are you on about? They got bit by at least a score of rats that you made us fight in that damn cellar of yours” dAnkan snaps back.
— “My cellar, why did you go down my cellar?” Linus says confused. “That old thing is filled with rats and what not, I haven’t been down there for eons”.
— “So we went into that horrible thing all for nothing?” you replied, slightly distraught.
— “Well, I can fill that eggnog barrel of yours with some more eggnog.” and before Linus could finish their sentence, dAnkan was jumping up and down, excited for even more eggnog grogg.
After taking a lunch break, you eating some packed sandwiches and dAnkan wolfing down eggnog, you group up with the wizard to see that he finished preparing his spell.
“Aha, and now for the finishing touches… Voilà!” Linus says.
An image is shown to you. You see a giant, treacherous mountain, with a very large dragon. You quickly understood that you needed to head to, the Drakberget.
